Jacqueline Cavalier Biography
Jacqueline Cavalier has over 20 years experience in non-profit leadership and fundraising. Since 1993, she has specialized in the higher education field, focusing on alumni relations/programming and gift planning for several local colleges.
In 2004, Jacqueline became the Director of Gift Planning at Union College in Schenectady. She has overall responsibility for all aspects of the Office of Gift Planning including supervision of staff and budgeting. Her position includes: marketing of gift planning opportunities to alumni and friends of Union College, direct interaction, solicitation and stewardship of leadership and planned gifts and ensuring efficient administration and stewardship for gifts received by Union College.
Roberta Rocas Biography
Roberta Rocas, Vice President & Private Client Advisor for NBT Bank, joined the company in February of 2003. She works with institutional and individual clients to assist them in meeting their financial goals using the products, services and expertise available through the bank’s Trust and Investment Division.
She has more than 17 years of experience in the financial services field. Prior to joining NBT Bank, she was a senior financial planner for the Ayco Company in Albany. She was also a portfolio administrator for Central National Bank, which later became part of NBT Bank. Roberta has a Bachelors Degree in Finance from SUNY and an MBA from The College of St. Rose in Albany. She is currently pursuing the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
Cris Cioffi Biography
For Cris, the most rewarding aspect of her career is listening to the issues of each individual client, and addressing their legal problem in the context of each person’s unique family framework. With experience gathered over 30 years of practice, primarily in the field of estate planning and administration and elder law, Cris is often a lecturer for the NYS Bar Association and other CLE providers. She enjoys speaking to community groups, and has been a part of the Legal Project’s WTEN Legal HelpLine, answering legal questions on topics of estates, trusts and Wills.
Educated at Middlebury College and Albany Law School, Cris is a Past President of the Schenectady County Bar Association. In addition, she is a Trustee of the NY Bar Foundation, the charitable branch of the State Bar, which makes grants to not-for-profit organizations furthering some aspect of the law in NYS. In her community, Cris serves on the Ellis Hospital Foundation, an organization she helped found in the early 1980's. Cris serves on the Board of Trustees at Ellis Hospital and the Board of Trustees of the Community Foundation of the Capital Region. In addition, Cris is a former Schenectady County Legislator serving from 1995 to 2005, and previously served on the Board of Directors of the NY Chapter of National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
